We spent a whole morning and afternoon trekking Alcover which is just a short drive from Prades and Reus. After parking the car at Mas de Fores (you will see the roman aqueduct and an abandoned house here), you will realise that there are many different routes you can explore. There are clear directions and maps along the way, so no need to plan ahead or worry about getting lost. This is quite a manageable trek too so all you have to do is get there! And we decided to take the route leading to Niu de l'Àguila (Nest of the Eagle).
Weather in Spain is always good... Even in winter, we get blue skies and sunny days. However, the water gets a bit too cold in winter and since this area is full of hidden waterfalls and natural pools of freshwater, we will definitely come back again in summer to take a dip!
After passing Niu de l'Àguila, we continued trekking up to Fonts del Glorieta which is a natural spring where we filled our bottles and drank to our hearts' content before making our way back. In total, this is about 8km of trekking and we sure enjoyed it!
